Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American actor and singer. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment as a young stage of her life. In 1992, she was awarded her first acting role in her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. In addition to having private lessons in acting, she launched her career in the year 2000. Bell made an appearance on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a member of the music and drama club in Shrine Catholic High School. The school's production of The Wizard of Oz, Bell was cast as Dorothy. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater following her graduating. Bell quit the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she made her first credited debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her appearance exists only in the credits sequence. Bell was seen with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
