Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to discover her worldview by the food she cooks. Food that she cooks is a source of fascination that grew from moving outside the suburbs of Long Island and into the multicultural scene in Los Angeles. Cavatelli, carnitas and various other cuisines can be found within a menu. It is an ever shifting taste. All of her meals, she has a vision that is distinct and speaks to a longing for the historical. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced by her Italian American roots. The restaurant was greeted with the warmest welcome. Lofaso is lauded by her fans for her rendition of traditional Italian food. Lofaso has been praised by a lot of people as a local favourite that serves up meals that are delicious, authentic and welcoming. Lofaso had been an apprentice chef to master chefs taking their tips and taking chances. She was not afraid to take risks to pursue her own intuition. In a short time she rose to the highest level in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Later she worked with a variety of famous people as she transformed various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso established Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. Lofaso has found her home in Black Market, and through the partnerships that she created. This collaboration would foster the freedom of expression Lofaso desired. The goal of Black Market is not to be restricted in any way. It would start with dill-flavored potato chips, Shishito peppers, and finish with Korean wings. Antonia is the anchor for this bold array of flavors. Lofaso in her entire career, has judged her performance by the degree to which she is able to comprehend her audiences. She also stays in the same place she was. Her memorable performances of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her uniqueness outside of the kitchen. Her talents remain in the spotlight of the camera, as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and recurring appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. In 2012, Lofaso was a part of Penguin to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Cooking Ideas for Delicious Home-cooked Meals, which also tells the story of her struggles while studying at the elite French Culinary Institute, and at the same time caring for her child Xea. Lofaso believes that her successes stem from her love of cooking and she is able to keep a finger in the middle of this industry by focusing in the kitchen. Through her Chefletics brand, she is revolutionizing the aesthetics of her field by redesigning clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as function. Lofaso believes in remaining true to your values and your ideals. In order to achieve this, she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new company will offer a tailored experience to clients.
